SERVING SANTEE
AS YOUR CITY COUNCIL
REPRESENTATIVE

As your council member, I have worked hard to help create new jobs, protected local taxes, fixed infrastructure and roads, update local parks, and have made public safety a top priority.
Your issues remain important to me. I will continue to answer your phone calls, respond to emails, and meet with you personally when requested to meet your concerns.

I’m enthusiastic to continue to serve as your council member. Because of your support, I can continue my dedication to my council duties and to the regional responsibilities. I work on the Metropolitan Transit Board to help transit needs in East County. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the council and members of the community.

COVID is finally past us, however, it put a wrench in the new movie theater complex as many movie theatres went bankrupt. This and many our local projects are a priority requested by Santee residents. This has not detoured us from working to make sure these dreams come true. We have recently established the “Art’s District”, a new concept on bringing unique selection of businesses to our city. I am dedicated to working to provide a great future for Santee, we have a lot of work ahead of us, but we can only accomplish our goals if we work together.

Common Sense Solutions For Santee

Working TOGETHER
for Real Inprovements!

Working with Mayor John Minto, fellow council members, and state, federal, and local agencies, Ronn is fighting for a real, timely solution to Highway 52. SANDAG has projected improvements in 2035 and again in 2050—but they not waiting that long!

Mayor Minto and the Santee City Council launched the Highway 52 Coalition to push these dates up—and our efforts are already making a difference. The first project is now in the Environmental Phase, on track for completion by August 2028. [Click here to see the proposed changes to fix the 52.]

As a longtime Santee business owner, former Chamber of Commerce President, Rotarian, community volunteer, and Council Member, I fully support the philosophy of “Live, Work, Shop, and Play in Santee.” After all, Santee is where East County Shops! And with our new motto, “Do More ^ Due East,” we’re showing it loud and clear.

Thanks to engaged citizens like you, Santee is now recognized as one of East County’s best-run cities. Please join Ronn in keeping the city moving forward—smarter, stronger, and faster.

Service

Ronn Hall’s mission is to listen to your concerns and needs, then follow up to your complete satisfaction whenever possible. His emphasis has been to make sure our city is listening and responding to you.  When Ronn ran for office, he walked many homes in the city asking two simple questions, what needs to be improved with the city and what would you like to see in the future?  He was not surprised to see most people were overall happy with our great city.  Most of the concerns then and now are traffic and the need for a new movie theater, and a Trader Joe’s.  Ronn is happy to say Trader Joe’s is now in our city;  and as for the traffic, the mayor, and he are constantly working on ideas to help traffic move, A main concern of the backup on Highway 52.  Ronn’s goal is to find a “Real Fix” to the 52.

Standards

As your Council Member, Ronn’s vision is to set the direction for a better Santee, now and the future!  He’s focusing on the overall community lifestyle and making it a better place to live. Our parks are second to none. The city’s reserves are over 20% of the budget.  New businesses are moving into Santee.  This is partly due to a low crime, homeless numbers, and a household income that is 7th in the County of San Diego.   When people call Ronn about a pothole, messy neighbor, homeless need, or the bus services in Santee, he believes people deserve a timely and responsive answer.

The days are over when government doesn’t respond to your needs.  He responds quickly to phone calls or emails concerning subjects like, E-Bikes, substandard housing, homelessness, local infrastructure and streets, or helping a local business get solutions to their needs.

Safety

Public Safety is one of the prime reasons for government, Santee has a long record of safe streets.  Ronn feels that it is up to the city council to ensure these high standards.  Ronn has worked with the Fire Fighters and Sheriffs to ensure Santee is safe.  We now monitor Facebook, Nextdoor, and many other social networks to look for possible illegal or questionable activities in our city so the sheriff’s department can focus on those crime areas. He has taken ride-along trips with the sheriff’s officers to point out areas of concern and to learn about others.

Ronn has helped the Santee Fire Department by approving the upgrades to their fire trucks, ambulances, radios, including adding three brush rigs, to allow us to meet the fire directly in our hillsides.

Ronn is ensuring a safe Santee!  He is currently on the Santee-Lakeside Emergency Medical Services Authority Board Member (SLEMSA) to ensure our ambulances are running efficiently.

“I’m happy to ensure we have the most qualified personnel, so when you call, There’s a fast and effective outcome”.
