Ronn Hall |
SANTEE COUNCIL DISTRICT 2

Ronn is a lifelong resident of San Diego County, a long time licensed insurance agent, notary public and have proudly owned and operated Ronn Hall Insurance and Notary Services for more than 38 years.

His experience as a business owner, problem-solver, and award-winning insurance broker has prepared him to navigate complex issues with clarity and steady leadership. He has been honored with multiple industry awards, along with recognition from the Santee Chamber of Commerce as one of Santee’s Businesses of the Year.

Ronn served as a Past President and Board Member for the Santee Chamber of Commerce, before being elected to the Santee City Council in 2014.  Working alongside fellow chamber members, he helped launch the Santee Street Fair, at one time one of the largest community events in the county. He is still a member of the Santee Chamber of Commerce.

Common Sense Solutions for Santee

As a Council Member, my board committees include

As a Council Member, I’ve dedicated myself to strengthening the systems, services, and partnerships that make Santee a safe, connected, and moving our community forward. My work often takes place behind the scenes — collaborating with different regional agencies, public safety teams, local nonprofits, and neighboring cities to make sure Santee has a strong voice in our county. Whether it’s improving local transportation, supporting our first responders, or helping expand economic opportunities in East County, I’ve always believed that effective leadership begins with listening, showing up, and working together regardless of party.

Over the years, I’ve served on a wide range of boards, committees, and community groups that directly impact the everyday lives of Santee residents. From regional transit and public security to homelessness reduction, business development, emergency medical coordination, and community events, I’ve been committed to advancing practical solutions that strengthen our city.  It’s important to make ensure Santee has a voice all over the county not just our city. My goal is simple: bring the spirit of “Service Above Self” into every role I take on — supporting families, helping businesses thrive, and ensuring Santee remains a place we are all proud to call home.

Ronn & Virginia

My wife Virginia and I live in East Santee. Virginia’s a longtime Santee resident, Registered Nurse (retired), and an active Realtor. She’s a Elected Board Member on the Grossmont Healthcare District.

We spend much of our time with our grandson Levi, Linus, and our dogs Sofie and Toby. We also have two Granddaughters Siena and Annabelle, along with Grandson Ely.  We have volunteered for non-profit organizations in Santee as well as supporting local Santee businesses and causes.  However, Sunday Mornings are church time with Shadow Mountain Community Church.

I’m able to work with elected officials as well as others from all parties promoting collaboration, creating vision-focused thinking, and moving our community needs forward. Issues with constituents remain important to me. I will be happy to respond to emails, and make myself accessible in person or on social media.
